In the name of God Amen I William
Cogger Snr of the parish of Saint Margaret New Fish Street in the
City of London wire worker do make this my last will and testament as
follows whereas there stands £800 in the three percent consols in the
joint names of William Cogger Senior and Thomas
Cogger of the Strand
after my decease I desire the said £800 may be transferred to the said
Thomas Cogger of the Strand also the £520 in the 5 per cent consols
that stands in the joint names of Jemima
Cogger and
William Cogger Snr I desire may be transferred to the said Jemima Cogger
when she desires it to be done it being the property of the said Thomas
Cogger and Jemima Cogger my name only being put down has a security if Wm Cogger Junior should be living at the time of my
decease he shall pay or cause to be paid out of the trade account the
following legacies to his Brother John Grimshaw Cogger within one month
after my decease twenty pounds to his Brother Thomas Cogger £200 within
twelve months of my decease also to his Sister Jemima Cogger within
twelve months of my decease and I do give my said son William Cogger the Lease of my house No 23 Crooked Lane Stock
in Trade Utensils Book Debts Household Goods
and I do hereby discharge my son
John Grimshaw Cogger from all Bonds Debts etc which he may owe me
at my decease and whereas I stand possessed of 10 Shares in the Eagle
Insurance Company I give them as follows 3 Shares to my son
Thomas Cogger 3 Shares to my Daughter
Jemima Cogger two shares to my grand daughter Sarah Cogger daughter of William
Cogger Jnr and the other two Shares to my Grand Daughter Elizabeth Cogger daughter of my son J
G Cogger with respect to the money left me by the late William Cole Esquire of Brockwell Hall in the
parish of Saint Mary Lambeth in the County of Surrey the amount of which
is undetermined I do desire it may be divided between all my children
that shall be living equal share and share alike and the money that will
be derived from the parish Clerks Company I desire may be divided to pay
the expense of mourning for all my family and the expense of my funeral
and if any other money wanted to be paid by my son William out of the
Trade account and I do nominate and appoint John
Giles of the parish of Bow in the county of Middlesex Coachmaster
Thomas Cogger
of the parish of Saint Martins in the Fields Glassman and Richard Lazard of the parish of Saint Magnus
London Bridge in the City of London Executors of this my last Will and
Testament it witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 9th
day of February in the year of our Lord 1808 witnesses Richard Lazard
and Jemima Cogger
