Dorcas Houghton 1819 Swanwick

This is the last Will and testament of me Dorcas Houghton of Swannick (sic) in the parish of Titchfield in the County of Southampton Widow .  First and principally I commend my Soul to Almighty God trusting for the Forgiveness of my sins through the Merits and Intercession of Jesus Christ my Redeemer and my body I request may be decently interred in Titchfield Church Yard and asto all worldly Effects and Estates of which I may die possessed of after Payment of my Debts Funeral Expences and the Costs and Charges of proving my Will I desire thereof as follows  I give and divise all that my Messuage or Tenement Farm Lands and Hereditaments called Eyres down subject to the Lease granted thereof by my late Husband Edward Houghton and also all those my two Cottages or Tenements  formerly one messuage at Botley with the Appurtenances unto my Daughter Elizabeth Houghton her Heirs and Assigns for ever I give and bequeath unto my said Daughter Elizabeth Houghton a House in Albion Place Southampton I give and bequeath all my Estate and Interest in and to the Farm and Lands called Burridge subject to the Lease granted by my late Husband to Mr Edward Guillaume unto my Daughter Mary Guillaume her Executors, Administrators and Assigns I give and bequeath unto my said daughter Mary Guillaume all my Plate marked with the letters M.H. (I assume H is for Houghton) and also a Legacy of Twenty Pounds and a Mourning Ring.  I give and bequeath unto my   Daughter Harriot Guillaume my large Bill and also a Legacy of Twenty Pounds and a Mourning Ring  And all my household Furniture, Plate, except as above mentioned Wearing Apparel and all the Rest and Residue of my Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever I give and bequeath unto my said Daughter Elizabeth Houghton and I do nominate and appoint my Friend William Randel of Fareham and also my said Daughter Elizabeth Houghton on her attaining the age of twenty one years Executer and Executrise of this my last Will and Testament and I direct that it should be lawfull for the said William Randell to retain and pay himself all such reasonable Charges and Expences as he shall of may sustain or be put to in the Execution of this my Will in Witness whereof I the said Dorcas Houghton have to this my last Will and Testament set my Hand and Seal this sixteenth Day of July one thousand eight hundred and ten.
