Indenture for John Hart, Apprentice to Richard Tribbeck |

This Indenture made the Ninth Day of October
in the Second Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lady
Anne by the Grace of God of England,
Scotland, France and Ireland, Queen
Defneder of the Faith Anno Dom. 1703. Witnesfeth, That Richard
Lee, Thomas Pafford And John Barrum yeomaen Church Wardens of the Parifh
of Titchfeild in the Countie of Southton
yeomen
And Richard
Reeves, John Gates And Richard Tribbeck
of the Parifh aforesaid yeomen Overfeer of the Poor of the faid Parifh,
by and with the Confent of her
Majefties Juftices of the Peace of the faid Countie whofe Names are
hereunto fubfcribed, have put and placed, and by thefe Prefents do put
and place John Hart son of Wm Hart a poor Child of the faid Parifh,
Apprentice to Richard
Tribbeck of Barradge in the
parifh of
Titchfeild
And with him to dwell and ferve from the Day of the date of thefe
prefents, until the faid apprentice fhall accomplifh his full Age of Twentie
Fower yeares according to the statute in
that cafe made and provided: During all which Term, the faid
Apprentice his faid
Mafter
faithfully fhall ferve in all lawful Bufineffes, according to his
power, wit and ability ; and honeftly, orderly and obediently, I all
things demean and behave himself towards his faid Master
and all his during the faid term.And the faid Richard
Tribbeck
for himself,
his
Executioners and Adminiftrators, and in their and every of their
Church-Wardens and Overfeers, and every of them, their and every of
their Executors and Adminiftrators, and their and every of their
Succeffors, for the time being, by the Prefents, That the faid John
Hart the Faid Apprentice in the Art
Mystery for Occupation of a Husbandman
which he
now useth fhall teach And Instruct
And fhall and will, during all the term aforefaid, find, provide and
allow unto the faid Apprentice, meet, competent and fufficient Meat,
Drink and Apparel, Lodging, Wafhing, and all other things neceffary
and fit for an Apprentice. And
also fhall and will fo provide for the faid Apprentice, that he be not
any way a Charge to the faid Parifh, or Parifhioners of the fame
; but of and from all charges fhall and will fave the faid
Parifh and Parifhioners harmlefs and indemnified during the faid term.
And at the end of the faid term, fhall and will make, provide,
allow and delier unto the faid Apprentice double Apparel of all forts,
good and new, (thatis to fay) a good new Suit for the Holy-days, and
another for the Working-days. In

interchangeably have put their Hands and Seals the Sealed and Delivered in the Prefence of
